March 16, 2024 - The lemon citrus is ripe but still tart and fresh, and accompanied by a ginger zing and a strong mineral character.
Subtle vanilla follows along with a creaminess to the texture I assume is MLF. 14% abv is pretty big for Chardonnay but the wine does not feel overpy big, or at all hot or flabby. This is still incredibly fresh at 14years under screwcap.
Seriously good stuff, the fact this is Bindi's second label is crazy. Haven't opened a Quartz in a while but I'm going to have to do so soon now. This is probably the best Chardonnay I can remember having in 2-3 years.

December 28, 2022 - Still looking fresh with lots of lemon citrus and acidity, though the lemon is evolving and the primary fruit may be starting to give way as there's a lot of secondary ginger spice, some vanilla and more prominent tannin than I usually notice in white wines.

In a really good spot now but should comfortably have another 5-10years in it.

July 24, 2020 - Very light pale-yellow, ridiculously young colour for a 10 year old chardy. Light, melange of estery nuances - banana/passionfruit. Reserved, structured, tight but lightly oaked wine with core of acid still holding it firmly and cleanly strapped together. Truly this was built for the long haul and well executed. Of course there is a price to be paid for achieving duration and that is restraint in fruit and that is seen here. This is a structural rather than a floridly fruity wine. Got one left which I will serve blind in 4 years time.

May 6, 2018 - Similar notes to previous. Just a nice, well balanced chardonnay, not showing any signs of decline yet.

November 15, 2017 - Steely. Bath salts, tangy nectarine, white flowers. Still very youthful under screw cap. Good length. Too austere for my tastes. (89 Good wine)
