March 11, 2022 - Sultry and delicious and chewy. No rush

March 4, 2022 - The age is showing - but still a good acidity - both tannins and acidity are medium plus - both are good integrated - the wine has a fine balance - you are getting lots of mature fruit - its cherries, mature plums and hints of blackberries - we are also getting menthols and leather - also forrest floor. We tried 1998 before opening this bottle - 1998 was flawed (dead) - this wine is clearly drinking well and ready to drink. We are ending on 93 - but was talking about 92.

March 30, 2019 - Slow ox over 3 hours and drank over 2 hours. Age is showing in color. Edge is brown'ish, core is red/brown'ish. Nose was a bit old/bad at first but improved and became nice. Palate is mostly ageing notes. Still tanings, good balance and acidity. Very pleasent notes of forest floor, mushrooms, wet?. Medium to long finish. Very nice.

June 9, 2014 - Once again completely overoaked nebbiolo. One of my most stupid purchase. Not entirely unexpectedly after the having 36 months in barrique. A little more elasticity than carrobric 1997. And as in the carrobric you can clearly see that there was good grape material from the very beginning.

March 21, 2014 - A magnifficent Barolo. Medium to dark garnet. Continuously evolving nose of cherry, leather, violets and minerality. Medium to full-bodied with smooth tannins, bright fruit and balancing acidity. Complex and refined. Long aftertaste. At a great stage to enjoy but decanting is suggested.
