December 18, 2020 - Friday evening at Bishan. Tasted semi-blind. Drank in Gabriel Standart.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, amber gold colour. Legs.
Nose medium intensity, with aromas of baked apples, stony minerality. Developed.
On the palate, dry, medium acidity, medium+ alcohol (14%), medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of honey, caramel, butterscotch, baked apple, roasted nut. Medium+ finish.
Good quality, but past prime already for my palate. Fruit has dissipated, leaving the tertiary flavours and lacking in acidity sensation. -

February 7, 2004 - Académie des Cinquante Ad Bibendum Australia Tasting (Restaurant De Hooge Heerlijkheid, Middelharnis, the Netherlands): Fullish yellow; concentrated and buttery nose, hint of sweetness; powerful and concentrated. gras, balancing acidity; caramel and toasty oak seem to dominate the fruit.
