March 4, 2024 - And for my second aged Cotat… also great!

The nose here has some botrytis, little pineapple, general ballet.

The mouth has a little RS, but not too much - just a chef’s kiss. Baked fruit.

Medium + weight. Long finish. Good supporting acidity. 92/93

September 1, 2023 - Showed young at first, but opened up quickly. Honeysuckle and lemons with lots of minerality. It feels luscious through the mid-palate, then finishes so pretty and clean. Didn't finish it, so gassed and sealed it for next night where the transition was unexpected and interesting... It put on weight and showed much more in the off-dry elements and honeyed mouthfeel that SWFC mentioned below. In no way did it become a dessert wine, but with the acidity receding some, that lushness is what was left. I think it has 5-10 years of good drinking in it, possibly even improving a bit.

May 4, 2023 - Super bottle. Tasted alongside mont damnes 2010 from both Cotat and Dagueneau, this was the richest of the three, with some residual sugar giving it an added richness and rounded texture. Lovely balance, with a core of acidity keeping it fresh and structured. Just lovely.

August 20, 2022 - This blew its own cork while stored on it's side in a passive, below grade cellar. Cellar is rarely over 70 degrees.
Seeing notes on "spritz", there's something seriously wrong going on here

May 9, 2021 - This penultimate bottle, from an original 6 pack, is coming across a bit too sharp and tangy, perhaps bottle variation.
Not as well-balanced as previous bottles, seems off in the way of a spritz on the palate, and an overwhelming citrus/acidic component.
Still quite drinkable, just not at the level of previous bottles.
