January 19, 2023 - A still youthful appearance of clear, dark ruby with only the faintest lightening at the rim. Deeply scented aromas of vanilla, black raspberry, spice, tobacco and scorched earth with a hint of alcohol. Soft on entry and showing mouth-watering acidity, this was medium-bodied with excellent balance and a medium, slightly austere finish. Flavours were more red than dark fruit with some cedar on the back-end. This bottle delivered enjoyment in spades.

November 4, 2021 - Excellent ; smooth, pretty nose, very solid fruit with life left after 25 years; superb balance.

April 17, 2021 - Holdens: Chocolate and licorice, plump black fruits, glycerol, oak in support. It smells and tastes pretty youthful. Shiny and full palate. Soft tannins bring it to a long finish.

November 17, 2018 - Opened 2 hours before and decanted just prior to drinking to remove sediment. Deep red jam colour with a soft fruit, slightly sweet nose. Tannins have softened. This wine is very complimentary to hearty food.

Consistent with the prior note from last year

September 8, 2018 - Right in the heart of its window. Classic Barossa shiraz fully integrating red fruit with the oak with neither taking stage over the other. I would drink now to 2 years for maximum enjoyment. Solid 96+
