October 9, 2022 - Beautifully aged Brunello with strong tertiary notes and traces of sweet, dark fruit. It’s certainly not the most complex Brunello (and I increasingly feel that the much heralded 1997 vintage cannot live up to all the laurels) but it’s nicely structured and very harmonious. No need to rush but no upside from here imho. Also did not need a lot of air to unfold.

July 14, 2022 - This was a part of 1997 and 1999 Tuscan tasting including 3 Brunellos and 2 Super Tuscans, same producers from each year. Similar to notes for the 1999 but darker more stewed fruit. Palate is balanced and with fine ripe tannins. Oak more pronounced.
