March 20, 2014 - Monthly tasting club "The Tasting Club" 2014-03; Lebanon. (@ RG): Dusty cherries in the bouquet. Juicy cherries on the palate. A bit lactic. Meaty as well. Vanilla from the oak. Ok acidity and round, a bit sticky tannin. No extreme complexity or finesse, but certainly a very ok wine with a future of several years. Will probably show more complexity when the oak is more integrated and the primary cherry fruits have faded a bit.

NOSE: clean; pronounced intensity; flavour characteristics: dark fruits (blackberry, blackcurrant), red fruits (red cherry), plum, sweet spices (vanilla), chocolate; developing
PALATE: dry; high acidity; full body; high tannin; (fine grained); high alcohol; long finish; pronounced flavour intensity; flavour characteristics: as per nose: dark fruits (blackcurrant, black cherry), red fruits (red cherry), cedar, sweet spices (vanilla), plum, dade, chocolate
READINESS FOR DRINKING: Can drink now, but has potential for ageing
