  February 23, 2024 - Schiefer Reihburg-Vertikale 2024 mit Uwe Schiefer, Weinkosterei Burg Schlaining 23.2.2024, Austria (Weinkosterei, Schlaining Castle, Burgenland, Austria): Purple red color, no signs of ageing. On the nose there are red fruits paired with some tertiary notes of wet earth and wood. Same on the mid-weight-palate - there is also some salty minerality. At the beginning of its drinking window! Ends very long. Promise for the future. 93+

  October 8, 2022 - Excellent Reihburg with a bouquet of some cassis, cherries, bacon and chalky, iron notes.
  It's at a good spot right now and fully ripe, medium to full-bodied with a good length and precise structure. Will stay at this level for at least another decade or more.

  September 6, 2022 - This bottle sang right after popping. Smooth , round but with enough backbone and little edges to combine a real good austrian red.Minty flavours and a good finish. Yum yum

  April 25, 2021 - Too young. Needed so much air to open up. Charming, fresh and full of cherries ! But still chewy and a bit rough. Wait ! 93+

  January 7, 2018 - Fragrant nose, so much to detect here: Dark currants, warm spices, juniper and notes of soil and iron. Though concentrated and densely structured the wine is quite supple, well balanced and lifted by vibrant acidity.
