September 3, 2011 - What a nose. Crazily ripe fruit, late harvest style. Smoked sausage, dripping jam, sweet liquorice, black olives. Smooth, sweet-salty taste with heaps of very ripe syrah fruit and mellow acidity. Like drinking candy. Crazy wine, maybe not totally correct, but guaranteed to raise a few eyebrows and definitely a charmer if you're up to it. Made of ecologically grown grapes (since 1989) from low-yielding vines, 53% syrah 15% syrah (barrique), 32% grenache.
