September 29, 2020 - In consideration of a great vintage and great experiences with the entry level bourgognes of a few other houses (Damoy, Remoissenet, Meo Camuzet and Leroy) I grabbed a bottle of this and stuck it away for kicks. While not nearly at the quality level of those others mentioned, this is surprisingly soft and rich for grocer shelf burgundy. (Yes, I’m aware Jadot has a few other versions of “Bourgogne Rouge”, of varying quality). I have to agree with the “generalizers” who proclaim that a rising tide vintage lifts all boats.

March 5, 2020 - Medium body dark red wine. Once it opened there was beautiful complex pinot noir fruit. Very nice finish. A good bottle of wine.

March 21, 2018 - Excellent cork with bright medium ruby robe extending out to thinning edges. Smells like Hall's cherry cough drops and red licorice on the nose. Much less tartness and acidity than this once had, this has really settled down. A bit less contemplative as a result, but a fine pairing with sauteed and oven-finished Atlantic salmon filets with tomato vinaigrette.

July 24, 2016 - Light and smooth in the mouth. A traditional Pinot noir that we had to grilled veal. A good match. A bit short in the mouth. A perfect wine for every day consumption.
