Community Tasting Notes 4

June 14, 2009 - Lovely medium gold. Wine is very well balanced, showing a lot of depth of flavour. Lovely pear/peach fruit overlays fine core of nuts and minerals. Nice seamless finish. Nose is very complex.

    Outstanding

October 16, 2008 - Planned Impromptu Burg Wine Dinner (Asia Grand): Rich and buttery. Intense lemons provide good acidity lined by slight hints of almonds. Beautiful.

October 16, 2008 - Dinner at Asia Grand (Odean Towers, Singapore): Really pleasant to drink wine. Great quality for a village and very good sense of typicity - both Lawrence and I could quite confidently place it as a Meursault. Yellow gold in colour. The nose showed mineral, buter and white flowers along with pear and dusty earth. Rich and creamy on the palate, with a touch of peppery spice augmenting fragrant Chinese pear and lemon flavours. While certainly not flat, I would have liked just a little more freshness. Nice seamless transition into a medium-length finish which was pleasant round and had a little touch of spice. I thought this went well with the fried silver fish.

September 29, 2006 - Vibrant, hazelnut, mineral, gardenia, mint. Great verve and mouthfeel, very mineral, hazelnut again. Lively fiinish that accomplishes the razor's edge of mineral and acidity and body. Lovely, lovely Mersault.
