February 10, 2023 - After an hour decant, it has a nose of stewed plums, candied cherries, black pepper, tar, and very light floral notes. It has large pepper, plum, and game notes with smaller notes of cigars and bacon. High tannins, high acidity, good legs, very dry, with a hue of burgundy moving to brick around the rim.

December 13, 2018 - Powerful deep and ripe, despite the stated 12.5% alcohol. High toned with light red cherry and plum notes on the nose. Tannic and dry with a long juicy finish. Strawberry and red cherry on the finish. Interesting and tasty. Good value.

December 28, 2017 - C: Ruby, with minimal signs of age. N: Leather, dried cherry, herbs and black fruit. P: More of the same, with integrated tannin and delicious complexity. F: Long, with excellent dusty tannin and fruit. No signs of this fading, I'd definitely buy more. This was an outstanding surprise with baked ziti. 92

August 5, 2017 - PnP then drunk over dinner in the following two hours. From memory.
Beautiful nose immediately after pouring, and improved slightly, becoming even more precise. Perfect mix of red and dark fruit with spices, a hint of tar or smoke too, expressive, but tight and precise. No signs of the funk mentioned in other TNs here. Well balanced on the palate too, just right weight - it seems deceivingly light - well integrated tannins and overall very easy to drink, despite being a serious red. Wow!

May 6, 2016 - Still has that wild streak, with a little VA and I wouldn't want to try it the next day after organisms have had oxygen to reproduce, but I like it.
