September 29, 2017 - Most people liked it better than the Contratto. I think this has more extract. It seems heartier, the tannins are still slightly angular but with some air, they mellow down. Dark fruits. Classic Barolo nose. Full on the palate. Medium length. Very good effort and it tasted younger than the earlier Contratto.

January 6, 2016 - Not exceptional, but a decent old barolo for what I paid.

November 15, 2009 - decanted 4 hours before serving, Nice fruit very dark brooding appearance, lots of drying tannins on the finish.

June 12, 2009 - Had with Mushroom risotto, and ribeye steak. Wonderful aromas of cedar, and violets. Lush soft tannins, finish was somewhat subdued but overall a wonderful value. Going to stock up on a few 2004s.
