December 29, 2008 - Hmm, I do believe this was subjected to heat of some sort for a questionable amount of time. The colour and the caramel/oxidized components of this wine don't appear 13 yrs of age. More like 25+. Riesling-like nose of petroleum, baked spiced red apples. The palate is of an aged tawny port. Rich and sweet, but balanced with acidity and caramel, toffee, and coffee. Finishes clean and not hot.
