August 27, 2021 - Decanted for 30 minutes. Nice ruby appearance. Good complexity with deep berry and plum flavors with cinnamon, spice, and leathery notes. It went well with BBQ shrimp, tomato sauce.

November 18, 2020 - Well balanced with nice acid and fruit, even better on day 2. You won’t be disappointed for holding on to this one, drink up.

    June 10, 2018 - Decanted.
Showing complex notes that lead with blackberry fruit leather, fig, dark cherry that weave seamlessly into notes of leather, spice, sarsaparilla, dried violet, sage, earth, warm stone and light touches of dried meats and pepper.
The palate shows zesty berry acidity with well integrated, above moderate tannins. Smooth textures and above moderate weight comes with flavors of dark cherry juice, pomegranate, fig and blackberry that show a complex mix of both fresh and compote. Additional flavors of leather, herbs, earth, violets, baking and pepper spice with light accents of sarsaparilla and stone. Long through the finish.
    Still going strong!

December 23, 2017 - Love Owen Roe! Really enjoyed this bottle, it’s at peak maturity, showed pretty much immediately, should stay good for a while longer, but will not improve with more age. Enjoy!

August 15, 2016 - Consistent with my last note. This is in a great place. Full of fruit and nice layers of structure.
