February 20, 2021 - Remarkably fresh. Red garnet without much of aging in the rim. Red fruit dominates and quite a bit of red cherries and strawberries. Some cedar wood , cinnamon and a hint of menthe. It does not have the power or wow factor to score, but it is really nice and well balanced. Medium body a little on the acid side and a little short.

October 10, 2013 - This wine is tired, at least in my cellar. Fortunately, it is my last bottle. Dark, sombre colour with bricking at the edges. Menthol and graphite on the nose. Soft attack, but after that quality declines: decent mouthfeel, but rather meagre finish, a bit harsh and dry. OKish.

June 10, 2012 - fine nose, mellow and well aged, smooth and lacking tannins-- enjoyable but not exceptional aged St Estephe

December 17, 2009 - 90s Bordeaux (Asia Grand): Darkish purple till black but still not opaque. Excellent legs. This is really viscous at sight. long and clinging legs. Dark brooding wine. This is like a sexy dark skinned lady with slightly muscular body in a tight fitting but not yet revealing red dress. On the palate though, this is considerably more restrained than on the nose. Big parker wine but also partially classical. An in betweener. Probably needs more time and does already have pauillac like weight and nuance. 83-84ts.

September 3, 2008 - Dark colour, starting to brown slightly on the edges. Scent dominated by cassis, also blackberries and sweet tobacco. Supple taste with fruit and tertiary notes; tannins almost gone. Not bad, enjoyable with food, in fact better then I expected in the past. However, the aromatics are too simple, below-average for a grand cru.
