December 12, 2012 - Cherry nose, sour cherry taste. Refreshingly tart.

December 11, 2012 - This is not exactly my favorite style of Pinot, but we have to give them credit for bringing us a good mouth full of flavor for a reasonable price. My palate does not have complete appreciation for the super spicy, musty flavor profile. The color is deceptive dark from a distance, but surprisingly light magenta up close. The nose has wet turned black soil backing up spicy cinnamon and black cherry. The palate has a steely, mineral heftiness with the black cherry and boysenberry. Silky tannins. The crisp acidity enhances and compounds the spiciness. Moderate oak. The finish leaves a small amount of maraschino on the roof of the mouth, and the tip of the tongue.

December 1, 2012 - Transparent reddish purple in color. Can see right through it in the glass. Light body. Berry aroma with hint of spice. Thin and smooth on the palate. Tasty with raspberry/strawberry flavors and maybe a little cherry but with a somewhat short finish. Decanted for an hour. A little better than just good - but doesn't reach to a "very good".
