August 28, 2014 - The Clos St. Martin is not a top-flight 1961, but this was a very creditable showing from this small vineyard near Beausejour Becot. This is a rustic, old school Saint Emilion, displaying aromas of leather, loamy soil, blackberry and dried cherry, followed by a concentrated but not too complex palate impression with good texture and acidity and nicely melted tannins.

October 1, 2011 - At Roberson 1961 Bordeaux horizontal. Lovely nose, dark fruit and earth, lot's of acidity still, some freshness. A little leather and game taste.
