February 17, 2014 - Nice wine, but very BIG. I got a lot of oak on the nose and first taste. Color is beautiful, dark red. But like many Malbecs, it was rather one-dimensional. I would definitely open and decant a good 2 hours prior to drinking. This wine still has room to run. I could easily age another 5 years, it will probably soften the tannins (which are in abundance) but I doubt that complexity will increase.
