December 25, 2023 - Decanted for 2 hours or so. Still pretty vibrant deep crimson. Some very fine sediment remained in suspension.
Whilst it went well with robust Christmas food, it still doesn't feel fully integrated....had same view with remaining glass or two the following day. There is a fair bit of red fruit for sure, but also a sensation of burnt or overripe fruit.
This is still a very big wine. I will keep my final bottle for another few years I think, but there has been a lack of consistency between bottles, and it's not the best I've had from this producer despite being a prestige cuvee.

September 23, 2023 - Tasted without decanting. One of the more memorable bottles of chateauneuf I’ve had. Drinking well. The tannins have integrated and the wine still has ample fruit. Despite being 14.5 alcohol , it was not “hot.” Only have one more bottle and it’s going to be hard to resist opening it.

    April 13, 2023 - Sommelier nailed it as a 2010 CdP!

What a wine this has become! An ethereal CdP that is moving more and more to La Garrigue in herbal expression whilst keeping a slim-fit suit on a muscular body. The tannins are still here but enhanced all dishes. It went especially well with the chefs special dish: deep fried fukinotou.

    What a treat!

Still over on the younger side of things and has more to give.

November 26, 2022 - This is a lot more approachable than it was 4 years ago when I first opened a bottle.
Checked it out with a small glass by Coravin first. Still deep ruby and looking fairly youthful. Spice and stewed red fruits on the nose. Palate still with tannic backbone but not nearly as hard work as 4 years ago. 15% and you know it but it's not so dominant. Needs food though. We opened and drank the full bottle in the end. It followed a Northern Rhone, so a Syrah v Grenache comparison here, albeit different vintages.
Still not fully smoothed out, I suspect this has got quite a few years left yet, a behemoth of a wine still. I am hoping that it keeps on this path and some tertiary notes start appearing too.

March 27, 2022 - Drinking very well after a short decant. Smooth, good fruit, no alcohol, tannins integrated. Highly recommended. Drinking window looks good but I expect my remaining bottles will be gone before 2028.
