September 23, 2009 - Deep ruby in color, with a gamey nose, black pepper, meats, anise, and some asian spice. medium to full bodied and round mouthfeel. Low acid and well balanced. Tannins pretty much resolved at this point. Very well made and at peak. 89 pts

March 14, 2009 - Dark ruby in color. On the nose, blackberries, wet leather, minerals, white flowers, pepper, and and a bit of roasted coffee. Supple and round with good delineatoin on the palate. Medium to full bodied, with a rich midpalate presence and a bit gamey in a good way. More blackberries, anise, leather, rare meat, and white pepper. A very pleasing supple wine that is at peak. Lovely.

June 7, 2006 - Nice - ripe, round black cherry, anise, glycerin, black pepper. As it should be with a dash of elegance.
