August 17, 2015 - Splendide ! La grande classe, encore beaucoup d'énergie, ne fait pas du tout ses 14 ans. Très élégant, et grosse persistance aromatique. La côté lacté qui domine parfois n'est pas du tout présent ici. Un très grand vin blanc.

May 22, 2015 - 2nd wine in our 1st-flight (blinded) of 3 whites. From the color as well as the caramelized nose, this seemed a bit advanced. Some honey'ed and butterscotch notes emerged after some time & a few swirls. On the palate, this had more weight, but was definitely "clumsier" than the Roulot, as it had a lot less precision and clarity. Ended with just some slight bitterness. Not a bad wine, but beside the 1st and the 3rd wines, it definitely came across as being a bit lacking...

May 22, 2015 - "1er" Dinner at the American Club to determine which plots belong to a "Grand Cru" status. A little mature in appearance, seemed advanced for its age. Light orange. Beautiful sweet caramel nose, with tangerine and butterscotch. Slightly sweet on the palate, nice mandarin orange, mangoes and pineapples, but the lack of acidity rendered the wine slightly flabby and disjointed. Nonetheless, a really enjoyable wine that would need drinking up, based on this bottle. Verdict on Grand Cru worthiness - Yes. And Lafon would be amongst the top 3.

May 12, 2015 - Orchard fruit, exotic and deep nose. Quite intense with weight and I think the wine is reaching its peak.
