March 18, 2021 - Very unique, vegetal nose that I would peg as a Chinon if served blind. Delicious blend of cherry, damp earth, and subtle spices. Medium length finish. In a beautiful spot right now, but no hurry.

September 19, 2020 - I am considering a higher score depending upon how this continues to evolve. Open 2.5 hours. The stank reminded me of Cleveland Brown’s line “close the window. You are letting all the stank out”. Very assertive and not one’s first choice for burgundy. Tastes much better than the original nose. Dark fruit, first floor, shiitake mushrooms, earthy, spicy, iodine dominate. Great richness on the mouth, dark plums, blackberries, herbs. The wine has great length.

November 17, 2018 - Violets, peonies, strawberries, raspberries, spice; full, rich, plush, velvety, structured, long-lived, quite lovely; with time somewhat more closed and subdued, perhaps too young, though unclear
