January 1, 2014 - I have acquired this wine in Magnum Bottles and opened one for the first time on the first of jan 2014...
After being opened for a few hours , the wine had developed some really interesting flavours which one would find only in much older bottles. The whine also reflects the length of taste of the truly great bordeau's. Well 2009... is realy a great year and the Magnum really had started to work it's magic on this one.
Best of all my distributor stlil had a case at 20€ per bottle. I managed to secure 6 more magnums. I'll keep those for another few years -

September 26, 2013 - This wine isn't too bad. Pretty balanced, fruit is a little raisin-like, tannins are firm...Have two more, maybe will continue to age well. Seems like it could have more years in it.

May 6, 2012 - Call me crazy, but found this Trader Joe's cote de duras a perfectly good drinkable, typical Bordeaux region French red. Acidic, no bad aftertaste. Drank bottle on its own in evening. If you're looking for new world style oaken pyrotechnics, neither this nor other French wines are for you; if you appreciate French wines then this one is fine, middle of the road. (Sure, I can't speak for consistency in this vintage, as I only had one bottle. But the one I had was fine.)
