September 16, 2023 - When I first opened this bottle, I felt that it was kind of flat, with a strong undercurrent of alcohol. After a few weeks in the fridge it's much better, if not that much more interesting for a sauternes: mostly caramel and pineapple, with a bit of tanginess to offset the richness. Not as much tang as you'd expect from the vintage report, but this being the second wine explains it perhaps. Muted when cold, shows better at room temp. Overall: not bad but not exciting.

January 18, 2018 - Way better than expected -- I opened the first (of three) of these bottles about a year ago, and it was total shit. Was dreading choking the rest of the bottles back, but this bottle is just fine. Great viscous texture that stops short of syrup-y. Nice and tangy from the botrytis. Simple palate, but it checks the basic Sauternes boxes; honey and apricot, mostly. Just a tinge of dishwater holds this back from being very good. Good, 88-89.

March 13, 2016 - Always had a weak spot for Sauternes wines, so back to basic here.

+ Colour - surprisingly already some evolution
+ Nose - very much citrus, sweet tropical fruit, honey, pollen
+ Flavour - very greasy and opulent, very syrupy ( gut in a good way )
+ Taste - sweet candy, apricot, peach, dried candied pineapple

Second day, the taste gave away a little, and went more to fried banana.
Still the syrupy flavour and taste were present, some good fruit remaining.

Nice wine - not sure if 19,95 € value, but still very nice to have over two days
