Community Tasting Notes 4

September 7, 2015 - So I like this - plum, saline, and smokey on the nose. Saline flavours on taste with plum and a smoked meat character. Long blueberry and saline finish. Ok, overripe style but still very nice. Compare to Syrah from other places - this is a deal.

September 23, 2012 - Gorgeous dark purple color, and a dark, smoky blueberry nose with a touch of meatiness. Decent fruit on the attack, then a little AWOL on the midpalate. Pretty good finish, and a great deal at $17 for this Cornas-adjacent effort.

August 4, 2012 - Seems over ripe this time around.

October 16, 2011 - Very nice nose of smoke, a touch of smoked bacon, coffee, blueberry. On taste, blueberry, blackberry, with a saline note. Good amplitude on the palate with excellent balance with the acidity. Nice smooth finish with fruit and mineral. Great value. This one is truly a baby Cornas. It did need a day to open up.
