September 22, 2013 - Blackberry and pepper on the nose. They both dominate the palate as well, along with some black licorice, leather and a hint of forest floor. Good acidity for food, though not a lot of tannin.

December 21, 2012 - Searing kirsch, licorice, freshly ground black pepper, with a surprisingly deft transition to a lingering, mid-weight, bright finish. Excellent QPR.
