Community Tasting Notes 2

March 16, 2015 - Very deep inky garnet with bricking. Nice nose of plums, black cherries, a bit of creosote. Acid balance on the palate is somewhat sprightly, but definitely not juicy or tart. Age shows its hand in a good way. Flavors show a cooked aspect. Finish is short and, well, short, with light grip and low tannins. No one thought that I would still be drinking this Graff Family bottle 7 years after harvest. It's interesting, yes, and definitely drinkable, but the basis here was not much to start with. So it's interesting but that's about all.

February 7, 2012 - A little hotter than I remembered this time around, but an amiable Rhonifornian nonetheless.
