Community Tasting Notes 15

March 14, 2020 - Much more like my first btl, and an absolute pleasure to drink. On the nose, soft tar and blood orange, some vanilla, dried red fruit. On the palate, excellent acidity, more blood orange, dried wild strawberry. Tannin softer than my last bottle, but still drying and a very nice finish.

November 6, 2018 - In a great place right now. Expressive aromatics, still a good core of wound strawberry. Some woody notes, mostly fragrant, some hard, but not offputting. PnP without decant and did fine.

September 13, 2018 - Huh, absolutely nothing like my last bottle. This was just weird: not off, but loads of prune and plum and vanilla toast. On the palate, loads coffee and tar and dried black fruit. Just tar and bitter wood tannin on the finish. Not particularly enjoyable, but drinkable.

Day 4 open: this is a complete mess.

April 5, 2018 - Pop and pour. Very good, but no rush whatsoever to drink. Very nice nose with tar, mesquite, leather, crushed strawberry. On the palate, excellent depth and acidity with loads of juicy strawberry and blood orange, more mesquite, and surprisingly dense, like crushed red fruit. Still tons of chalky tannin on the dense, fruit-filled finish.

August 10, 2013 - WELL BALANCED, FRUITY, LOW TANNIN, DECENT NOSE. EXCELLENT WELL AGED BARBARESCO FOR THE MODEST PRICE.
