September 11, 2017 - Initial shy nose and palate on pop and pour. After 1-2 hours opening to light red cherry, cranberry, dusty earth, herbs (thyme?). Nice red berry acidity well balanced by herbal notes, dusty earth, smooth tannins. Dry earthy finish blending into final lingering impression of having munched on a handful of tart wild blueberries. Dropped off day 2.

October 30, 2016 - Paired with a roast chicken feast on Halloween eve. Decanted 1.5 hours ahead of dinner. Much better showing than 2.5 years ago: it has evolved nicely, particularly on the nose and finish. Lush blackberries and raspberries up front with orange rinds, green tea, lavender, and evergreen notes into the finish. Drink now through 2021-23.

May 12, 2016 - Lite garnet color, high toned nose. Nice bright flavors with lingering flavors. A very nice wine.
