June 8, 2014 - A lovely bottle. Well past its prime, but with some magical moments of tertiary flavors that remind us why we love old Nebbiolo wines. With a foundation of bittersweet cherry, earth, forest, and tobacco, there were hints of roses, licorice and mint that brought smiles to our faces. This bottle had good but not great storage conditions and so based on it I would say that this vintage of this wine should be drunken up immediately.

July 3, 2009 - Leather, animal garrigue, rose or slight flower scent, some menthol - very good. Really had interesting nose and taste.

April 16, 2009 - A modest, aged Barolo full of aged odors and flavors such as dried cherries, cigar box and smokey herbs, this wine was very good but not great. Varietally correct and probably a little too expensive by today's standards at $36. I would drink up now.
