Can really feel the Penfolds 'stamp' on this now.
If you like this style it's drinking really well.
It's still very deep in colour and has years ahead of it. -

August 17, 2021 - Lovely Penfold’s. Always find this wine delivers above its pay grade. So fresh still. Colour seamlessly young and deep. Taste full, complex and still lively acids. Very complete, very deep, lingering and puckering. Plums and blackcurrants with tar, olive, juniper, pepper back notes. A very complete wine. Started to hollow and fade just a little after 1hr+ else a point higher.

August 7, 2021 - Rich, deep Penfolds red, drinking very well at 11 years. Good mouthfeel & finish, no sign of ageing - has years ahead of it in my view. Very enjoyable.

December 14, 2018 - Five years on from my last bottle, this has really matured into a nice red. This sits where the old Koonunga Hill used to sit in terms of quality. Classic pennies black fruits and boot polish. Nice resolved tannin. Very moreish!
