November 11, 2011 - Not bad. But lacked depth in the mid-palate. Herbs and red fruit. Tannins are well integrated. Tasted better on day 2.

October 29, 2006 - Great cherry cola nose, medium body, some nice pinot funk. Tasts somewhat on the herbaceous side. Tanins are still a bit too up front and powerful. Beautiful look and smell. I'll wait an hour or two to score. A high 80's wine now.

OK, just goes to show you all good wines improve from the opening regardless of age. The green taste with strong tanins (astringency?) gave way after an hour to a somewhat smoother wine with more balance, less tanin and a pleasing peppery finish. Add 2 pts to 89.
