January 2, 2021 - This wine is starting to enter its mature drinking window and it's going to get better. Lovely red burgundy, juicy and bold.

February 17, 2018 - Dark fruited and relatively closed in. Let’s see how this goes with a bit more air in the glass. Some reduction on the palate, nicely dark fruited but still a bit closed in. Takes a while to give some aroma and fruit. Has taken nearly an hour to get here. I think this needs quite a bit more sleep to come round.

December 6, 2015 - At £20 per bottle this is a steal - deep black fruits with cherries and minerals coming through - very much in the Pataille style, with a long, nuanced finish. Drink or hold - this will get better with more time but its going to be hard to resist. Some iron and blood coming through on the finish - what a great value Burg.

August 7, 2015 - This is good. Quite rich, darkly scented fruit with gentle lift. Very attractive. Some interesting, quite savoury/earthy notes followed by really good depth of fruit which covers the ripe tannins. Chapeau. No rush, but this is ready to go.

February 21, 2013 - Ian's 09 Bourgogne @ Club Gascon, dinner table 1 (Club Gascon, London): Somewhere between the Tremblay and the Barthod. Fragrant, less obvious and full on the palate but some complexity and interest here without the lift and fragrance of the Tremblay. ***
