August 24, 2012 - Beautiful deep red-purple hue. A bit hot on the nose. Forward very spicy toasty nose, warm. A big beautiful mouthful of Zin. Mélange of spice, complex bright fruit with plum, tart raspberry. Nice long coating Zin finish.
A lusty and satisfying wine, a really terrific Zin from a classic vineyard. Points off for the heat but high, high on the yummy factor. -

February 11, 2012 - A well balanced wine for it's size... Full-bodied and concentrated... yet elegant and refined... concentrated nuances of dried blue/black fruit, chocolate, vanilla and spice... Medium-medium-plus body, chalky tannins and good acid.. lingering finish of blue/black fruit, chocolate and spice... almost port like.. though more elegant, balanced and refined... very enjoyable.. recommended for those who enjoy a riper, bigger styled Zin... This wine has caught my attention more then once...
