May 18, 2015 - Fabulous, yeasty, caramel aroma. Toast, caramel, acid, chalk. Minerality and acidity on the finish that balances the buttery, mousse-like texture.

March 9, 2015 - This bottle showed considerably more mature than a reticent one a year ago. Charismatic, broad and immediately appealing. Its verve combined well with a now soft, less effervescent texture and its well-balanced, lip-smacking dosage. I felt there was a burnished quality to the wine. Some caramel to the taste, a long, mineral finish. Creamier and faintly chalky after a couple of hours. (November 2011 disgorgement.)

December 21, 2014 - Impromptu Year End Dinner (L'Apicio): Night and day difference to the 2002 Bollinger, this was sharp, crisp, with bright lemon/yuzu and a tad harsh back end. I usually like/prefer Extra-Bruts, but I wasn't a huge fan of this. I found it relatively simple, and it never got better to my palate as the night wore on.
