May 20, 2023 - This has really come around. Soft, feminine and expressive with sweet red, cranberry, orange rind and dark fruit. Palate was seamless and fully integrated. It was harmonious and elegant in the mouth with charming sweetness.

September 10, 2022 - Second bottle has been opened for three days, and what a tremendous wine this is. Gamey black fruit, sweet, vanilla, orange flowers. Fully resolved with sublime acidity, edgeless, just juicy and profound with managed heat. 94-95
P.S. The wine loosened up a little as it warmed up. I would be cautious with the temperature. -

September 7, 2022 - Acker Pre-Auction September 2022 (Redbury Lounge): I am a total sucker for this producer which sadly has really skyrocketed since we first started drinking it and alas is not quite the deal. Still, there’s a great tension/precision here (similar to a burgundy style) but with much more power and dark fruit and just the back hint of green and then the feeling you get in an evergreen forest perhaps. It’s a pretty amazing wine as the base wine and honestly with not really enough years but just amazing. Always a treat to get to try.
