December 5, 2012 - Huge fruity smoky nose, delicious palate. This wine is ready to go NOW, and may not last for a long time in cellar but is a great wine for daily quaffing.

March 14, 2012 - Nice deep garnet color, nose of cherry, spice, vanilla. Maybe a bit of yeast. Palate is medium, deep tar, graphite with cherry menthol and spice on finish. Needs to settle a bit but drinking nicely.

January 5, 2012 - Popped and poured. Medium-plus bright garnet hue. Expressive aromas on the nose of black cherry, kirsch, pain grillé, dried herbs, black pepper and crushed stones. Medium-plus body. Much like other new world Grenache, this shows ripe, almost candied fruit redolent of black raspberry and cherry flavors which are complimented by notes of crushed spices, roasted meats, and a lingering impression of minerals. The moderate acidity keeps everything focused and the tannins are nicely rounded on the moderate close. All-in-all, a great bistro wine and one that, while drinking in an absolutely perfect place right now, should age nicely over the short to even mid-term. Very good representation of domestic Garnacha!

November 18, 2011 - On first opening the nose shows strawberries and some light toasty character. The palate is showing slightly tart red berries with some hints of pepper and a bit of hazelnut on the finish.
One hour later the nose shows toasted red fruits and dark Asian spices. The palate is dark currant, spices and a tart toffee, espresso bean and clove finish.
One day later the wine continues to evolve with a nose of barnyard, earth, red fruit and Asian spices and a palate of medium red fruit, clove and a finish of light nutty cedar. -

October 12, 2011 - With the splashy colors and bull on the label, I was expecting the corny fruit to come bursting out of the glass, but I was wrong! It had a very reserved and somewhat sophisticated nose offering some mineral / graphite and earth notes. Flavor was complex and earthy as well. Firm but rounded structure... this wine is pretty darn good! I was pleasantly surprised.
