July 3, 2013 - The wine looks Purple colored. The legs are Fast. It smells like Raspberry, Forest floor, Bark, and Alcohol/Hot. It tastes like Cherry, Phenolic, Nutmeg, Oregano, and Mineral. The body is Medium. The wine has Coarse texture. The wine finishes Long. After a few hours of being open, it mellows out and a buttery taste becomes apparent and the fruit becomes more apparent. Moderate tannins present.

March 26, 2013 - Black fruited plummy nose, violets and a bit of heat. Very fruit driven, fresh plum, marked heat on the mid palate, tannins are integrated.

November 12, 2012 - Nice aroma and tannins.

    August 7, 2012 - Color--Deep. Nice garnet color. A little blueberry?

Bouquet--Alcohol and tannins. A little too much alcohol, actually.

Taste--Nice flavor. Tannins, a bit of oak, dark fruit, and dry. I'm not (typically) a Malbec guy, but it held up well to the spicy pasta and red sauce for dinner. Maybe a bit one dimensional, but nice for the price.

February 25, 2012 - Drank side by side with a 2008. This wine had a great deep purple color that is known to the Malbec varietal. Nose was loaded with bright fruit and heavy tannins. On the palate, the wine had a nice balance of alcohol and dark fruit. However, more one-dimensional and a little more tannic than I would have liked. All in all a good wine for the price, could use some cellaring.
