February 11, 2019 - Weekly tasting group RWP #320; Three completely different, but pleasurable flights. (@ My place): Sweet spices, dark berries and some caramel in the bouquet. On the palate juicy dark and red berries. A firm amount of pleasant sweetness and also good and fresh acidity. The tannin still has a pleasant bite and a future of a few more years.

December 15, 2017 - Wonderful bottle of wine that was great from the open. We didn't decant the wine. Black fruit and gentle spices on the palate. We got this in Spain and should have purchased more!

October 24, 2016 - Weekly tasting group RWP #233; French or not French? (@ My place): In the bouquet dark forest fruits and smoke. On the palate juicy and ripe dark forest fruits, good acidity, a firm amount of sweetness, but in good balance with the acidity and round tannin. Full bodied wine. Ready now and the next few years.

November 10, 2014 - Bazaar: 100% Monastrel, very tasty, complex, meaty, round, with pure black, blue, and dark red fruits. A complete, rather rich wine, but very well balanced. One of the better Monstrel's I've had from Alicante.
