June 30, 2018 - Cork was fairly damp but came out almost whole (2 pieces), giving cause for trepidation. Decanted and waited for an hour. Nose is leathery, with dark musky red fruit, a bit of barnyard funk. On the palette more muted than one might hope but still silky with a long finish. Definitely well past its prime but still alive with fruit and ready for duty at age 46.
