Community Tasting Notes 9

July 4, 2014 - One of the softest, roundest reds I have ever tasted. The nose is full of sweet spices, mostly cinnamon and other baking spices over mild red fruits. A subtle red fruit body, with a very soft, round finsh. Really no appreciable acidity or tannins, but a very warm, pleasant finish. Great with grilled hamburgers. Drink now.

This wine was not labeled "Grenache/Syrah" on the front or back.(see images) I really think there was no Syrah in this wine, probably close to 100% Grenache.

April 27, 2013 - This is a very good example of how the French can excel at producing value wine when they want to. There are very few wines at this price point, from anywhere, that are as complete from front to back. This is not a big wine. It has mostly Old World character with approximately half the flavor profile coming from non fruit flavors. There is an almost Chianti like hit of black cherry on the nose and palate. Lots of spice like sandalwood, cedar, rosemary and thyme enhance the more red than black fruit. The solid mid palate helps this wine overpower many others at this price. Cute little tannins. Balanced acidity. Some molasses and wet leather with some emerging blueberry on the finish.

April 25, 2013 - No taste whatsover. Very bland and blase.

March 17, 2013 - Bem leve, ideal para tomar como aperitivo. Na boca um pouco doce, agradável residual.
