January 21, 2013 - (Joseph Drouhin Les Clos Vertical at Genius in Gastronomy) Medium intensity in the nose, green and lemon leaves (still young). Medium acidity, citrus fruits, nice "warm" feeling in the mouth, still a bit angular, medium citrus aftertaste.

December 11, 2012 - Am I being a touch harsh? Perhaps, but we're all entitled to that every once in a while. Simple, man, this wine is just too simple. Sure, it's Chablis, but even still, give me some minerals, some apple, some tart fruit, heck, some anything! Left hanging in almost all categories. Drouhin made some great wines in 2010 but this isn't one of them. There are just way too many good 2010 White Burgundy out there for people to be opening this stuff...

December 9, 2012 - Pale gold. The nose shows light, floral aromatics along with hints of lime & honeysuckle. Light to medium bodied, picking up weight with air & temp. Focused, yet angular on the palate. This certainly refreshes and pairs nicely with goose enchiladas w/ tomatillo & poblano sauce. It just doesn't show that extra gear one looks for in Chablis. That said, this is an entry level bottling and is quite pleasant on the dinner table.

October 26, 2012 - Clear, pale lemon in the glass. Clean, medium (+) intensity nose of apples, citrus, wet stones, flowers. Dry, with medium (+) acidity, medium alcohol, medium body. Medium (+) flavor intensity of green apples, citrus fruits, minerality and spice. Very clean and fresh tasting, with good balance, elegant texture and a long finish. Good value at around $20
