February 12, 2011 - Overwhelming graphite, pencil lead aromas to the max. Fruit has noticeably dried out. This was much better 3 years ago, alas.

March 28, 2009 - An outstanding Dolcetto! Deep, saturated color. Dark berries and herbal nose. Powerful wine, 14% alcohol. Full-bodied, soft and silky. Drank it six times with consistent notes.

April 12, 2008 - Very nice, easy to drink. Light and fruity, with a smooth finish

January 20, 2007 - A Piemonte dinner party with friends (San Francisco): Double-decanted several hours before serving. Bright nose of red fruits, perfume of violets, and a leafy tobacco/vegetal aroma reminiscent of cab franc. Sweet on the initial attack, somewhat grapey and cherry, hollow midpalate but impressive concentration for a dolcetto. No simple quaffer this, it is surprisingly structured for a dolcetto & would benefit from some time in the cellar.

January 6, 2007 - Very bright but dark hued red. Cherry-currant aromas. Red and blue toned flavors (e.g., cherry and blueberry) and not too grapey for a dolcetto. Texture, tannins and acids all working together for a pleasing glass of wine. med finish. Would drink this again in a heart-beat. Day 2: same except the blue fruit pops out front and center; still very fresh and maybe quite a bit better than day 1.
