February 25, 2024 - Too angular like the other comments, but on day 3 became more rounded. This needs more than 48 hours of slow ox. I would score this 92 (on day 3) but due to the premium price I paid, it ends on 90.

May 28, 2023 - Classic, but wanting in fruit, angular.

May 21, 2023 - Winemaker dinner with Giuseppe Vaira (RPM Steak - Chicago, IL): 96/99/01/04. A gorgeous at peak Barolo with all the classic notes of red and black cherry, licorice, florals and asphalt. Tannins are still grippy but nicely meshed with the fruit.

May 21, 2023 - "Only for Sundays" (Chicago, IL): A very generous afternoon in the decanter helped soften this wine for dinner. It still feels very structural with a somewhat angular tannic frame, but there's enough red fruit to help balance that out. One that will certainly benefit from additional time, though that long decant certainly made this wine very much enjoyable already.

October 16, 2021 - ~7 hours in the decanter. Wow, explosive aromas of bright black cherry with intense florals and spice. So vibrant with refined fruit and seamlessly integrated structure. Classic in every way. In an peak zone.
