Community Tasting Notes 1

November 15, 2014 - Saved this one up for a nice dinner. It was quite good and hard to stop pouring and drinking but I thought the tannins and smoked meat that drew me to it at the tasting room were a little subdued. Definitely from a cool climate vineyard but I am wondering just a little if the soil is lacking. Nice sweet fruit mostly on the dark end of the spectrum. I think the Myriad Las Madres, Jemstone, and Halcon outdo this for less mone guy. Of course they outdo a lot of wines at twice what I paid for this.
