April 15, 2017 - This has moved to the dark red fruit side of the spectrum with hints of various brown baking spices and rose petal and plenty of minerality on the nose and palate. This shows more intensity and detail as it opens up within a few hours of opening. Juicy acidity makes this attractive to drink today. A bit firm still. The oak seems quite integrated. I would be inclined to try another bottle in a few years to check up. Very pure today.

December 30, 2013 - Deep, dark color; candied dark cherries, berries and a touch of raspberries show through with a bit of licorice mixed with some toasty oak. Dense upon entry, then crunchy and fresh in the middle revealing dense, dark pinot fruit mixed with florals tones. Good fruit overall but a bit oaky. Not showing its texture today but should age pretty well. 89+
