Full and deep nose. Lovely. Very, very spicy. Plum and strawberry. Wet earth and Gevrey iron minerality. But also a haunting perfume-like hint.
Medium-fullish, fullish palate. Quite rich. A bit austere but with ripe tannins. Concentrated and long. Blood, iron and curry. Very Gevrey.
Best wine in the Clair line-up.

L'élevage du vin est toujours perceptible et ne le magnifie pas tant au bouquet en le rendant sucreux, qu'en bouche en ne lui apportant pas davantage d'élégance. Relative déception puisqu'il me laisse indifférent à la longue. Notation difficile. 89-91?

July 14, 2021 - Bastille Day Celebration with Lots of Champagne Rosé (Park Ridge Country Club): Small glass, brief note. Like so many 2010, this is no powerful, but a masterpiece of elegance and balance. Almost seems simple to start, this gets bigger, bolder and denser within seconds. So long with roasted meat coming through with bolder, blacker fruit on its long finish. Just barely entering its drinking window, 93-94 point potential.
