January 6, 2013 - 2013 Argentina Trip; 12/30/2012-1/14/2013 (Buenos Aires/Córdoba): Creamy nose with some underlying citrus. Palate has some interesting flavours but then falls away a bit due to low acidity. Label claims the wine only saw 1/3 new oak but the wood is still quite prominent. A touch hot as well. Suspect this is past its best and was fresher in its youth. Disappointing given this producer's pedigree.
