February 23, 2024 - Opened in HK. Slow-oxed for a while before sharing over dinner.
Served blind, I guessed Meursault, but with a teeny bit more age (2007 or 2008 etc.). Lovely golden colour, very buttery on the nose, oak well integrated and the acidity wasn't too sharp, which tends to be a predominant feature of younger Roulots. Really enjoyable and for my tastes better than the Jura Chardonnay served alongside it.
Drinking very well now, may round out a little bit more with a few more years but in a good spot. Thanks to M for sharing this wonderful bottle! -

September 17, 2022 - A bit advanced with some bruised apple and nuttiness. The palate has citrus and almond butter, but the detail is not here.

August 5, 2022 - Perfect bottle. No signs of premox. Long magical finish that lasted for days. On the leaner, racy side of his wines. Maybe it was the perfect time to drink this. Oak fully integrated.

May 18, 2022 - This was utterly remarkable, and one of the best white burgs I have had this year.
The colour is medium gold. So shows sign of age, and whilst this reminded me of a Fontaine Gagnard Chassagne 1er cru 2008, this palate was far superior and much fresher.
Just incredible balance and harmony on the palate with a long finish. Was not overly lean, or overly ripe. But simply perfect.
There was no dominate oak, so I called, when served blind, brilliant maker, lower vinyard. I could drink this all night. From SJW -

April 15, 2021 - Popped and poured at ASA. Flint, lemons, spice, and grapefruit rind soar out of the glass. Full yellow color, but no sign of pre-mox. The palate is crisp, medium acid and shows a saline infused texture that is lifting. Finish is a little bitter. Great Meursault.
